Brake Operator II

The Brake Operator II will process quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a press brake.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  1. Adheres to all Company Policy and Procedures and Department Procedures.
  2. Set up and operate a hydraulic brake press to a set of work instructions.
  3. Select correct tooling for the job.
  4. Load, install and correctly set up tools required.
  5. Coordinates each job with Set-Up employee to ensure full understanding.
  6. Safely load any tools and dies necessary for each individual job.
  7. Ensure manufacturing drawings have the correct revision level, notes, tolerances, and dimensions.
  8. Monitor cycle times and meets production schedules on delivery requirements.
  9. Inspect parts throughout the operation and complete SPC charts as required.
  10. Read Travelers and understand how to route parts to next operation.


  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  2. Must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  3. 2+ years of related experience and/or training is preferred.
  4. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and carry up to 10 lbs.
